Recover data from damaged or incorrectly burned CD and DVD discs

Recover Disc is a software program that helps you to extract data from damaged or incorrectly burned CD and DVD discs particularly at that stage where regular software can't read them fully or partially.Sometimes it is very important for you to recover data from such kind of disc.

This tool extracts the intact portion of your data and tries to recover problem areas. You can either choose to recover selected files, or save an image of the whole disc.

The program works under Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista and supports all types of CD and DVD media with ISO or UDF file systems, including discs burned by video cameras and recorders.

Main features of this software are

* Recovers data from scratched and damaged CD/DVD
* Recovers data from incorrectly burned CD/DVD
* Supports discs burned with DVD video cameras and DVD recorders
* Retrieves data from all sessions on multi session discs
* Supports ISO and UDF file systems
* Can merge partial data recovered in different environments

How to recover data using recover disc

1.First of all insert a CD/DVD Disc and analyze It

This program starts reading the content of inserted CD/DVD disc immediately after you run the program. It might take some time to read and analyze disc content. Then the program displays folder tree in the left pane of the window. You can browse the content of any folder right like you do in the Windows Explorer.

2.Then find desired files on the disc

You can browse the content of your CD/DVD right like you do in the Windows Explorer. When you select a folder in the left pane, you see its content in the right pane. Now you can select files and folders that you want to recover and get to the next step.

If you do not see required files on the disc, it may be that they were recorded in previous sessions and were not included in the table of contents of the last session on the disc. Sometimes this happens on multisession discs either intentionally or by mistake.Recover Disc allows viewing such files in a special Expert View mode. This mode shows the full disc structure with all recorded sessions and tracks. Click the "Expert View Expert button on the toolbar to switch to the Expert View mode.

3.Finally extract your desired files from the damaged disc

After you select files and folders that you want to recover, click the "Extract" button on the toolbar. The "Extract" dialog will be displayed.'Restore folder structure' If you check this option, the full branch of the folders tree containing selected files and folders will be recovered to the output folder.

If some disc appears to be partially unreadable with Recover Disc on your computer
, you can try to extract all available data from the disc and then read that disc on another system or with different CD/DVD reading device. The program allows reading a part of a file on one device and a part of the same file on another device. When you extract a file from a disc and some problem areas cannot be properly read, the corresponding places in the extracted file are left blank (filled with zeroes). When you later try to extract the same file, the program reads only the blocks that were not extracted before and merges them with the previously extracted data.

The following options let you specify what to do when the program finds file with the same name in the output folder.

* Merge: The program will merge the file being extracted with the existing one. Use this option to merge the newly extracted content with the previously saved data.
* Overwrite: The program will overwrite the existing file with a newly extracted one.
* Skip: The program will skip such files.
* Ask: Each time the program finds a file that already exists in the output folder, it will ask you what to do.

Select either "Overwrite", "Merge" or "Skip".You can check the "Apply to all" option if you want to apply the chosen action to other files as well. Then the program will perform the specified action automatically without asking you each time. After you specify all options in the "Extract" dialog, click "OK" to start the extraction process and you are done with it.It is very simple and easy to use for general users too.

How to findout the gender of a blogger

You might be aware of a tradition where authors used to write books or novels with a nick name to protect their identity, whatever is the reason for this cause. Now a days some of the bloggers also follow this act.But gone are the days, that time it was quite hard to gather some information about your favorite writers. Now If you are a reader of any blog then you might be interested in knowing whether the person who's post and articles you are reading is either man or woman.

For finding gender of your favorite blog writer just log in to genderanalyzer.com and enter the address of his/her blog. Then it will show you the result.I tried it on mine so here is my result which is damn right.
I also applied it on my friends blog allin123.blogspot.com and result is this.

These result are based on the use of Artificial Intelligence to determine if a homepage is written by a man or woman. Behind the scene, a text classifier hosted over at uClassify.com has been trained on 2000 blogs written by men and women.Though it might not yield best results but these results are right upto an extent.

You can also go for a gender test for a personal computer user by using its browsing history. The tool based on analysis of browsing history of an individual yields nice results.

Google uses 200+ things to rank a page other than pagerank

The source of this post is the discussion that aroused after the recent page rank update by Google. This time most of the bloggers and webmasters found that their page rank are dropped in spite of nothing wrong. They followed almost every thing that Google told them to do like no paid links, nofollow tag etc. but now they are confused how Google determines Page rank.

First of all, what is toolbar page rank
Two entirely different things are called “PageRank”. There’s the Google toolbar PageRank, which is represented by integers 1 through 10, and then there’s the internal PageRank number that Google uses as one of its many ranking factors. When I say PageRank doesn’t matter, I’m talking about the toolbar PageRank. The internal PageRank that Google uses does matter, but it’s far from only thing that matters.

At the simplest level, PageRank (both toolbar and internal) is a measure of a page’s link popularity. How many links does a page have and how authoritative are those links?

So guys don't worry about this update because Matt cutts says
It's just a toolbar PageRank update. Even if you don't show much PageRank, Google still has 200+ other signals we use in our ranking. It's definitely common to see lower-PageRank sites ranking above higher-PageRank sites--which tends confuses the people who obsess too much about PageRank and who don't focus on other factors that search engines might use to rank pages.

This is why sometimes lower page ranked sites are shown upper in the results compared to high page rank sites. But then why Google shows this toolbar pagerank ? Outer pagerank is just a delicate balance that Google has to maintain of giving as much information as possible to web site owners, while not giving away enough to let spammers impact the quality of search results.

Chrome Unchrome,an identity issue for end user

Google Chrome has came out as a success for Google and it has been termed as fastest growing web browser ever.It is fast, runs script very quickly, consumes very less memory and so many nice things which the blogosphere is talking about Google Chrome.Yes they all are true and i praise Google's effort of developing a web browser like chrome even though they have been supporting Mozilla Firefox for a long time.

But there are some issues regarding its use by Google.Last time it was authorship over any content published on internet using Chrome, and this time it is not very different. When you download Chrome, Google assign a ID number to your browser. Chrome collects informations about your web surfing habits and in combination with the ID number Google gets a nice profile about you.

Some experts says that this is a common approach for Google.Google emphasize on collecting some kind web browsing related habits and history by its various means like web history and other services. According to Google they save it for 2 years after that it is automatically removed from their system and they don't collect any kind of personal information as claimed by rivals and critics.

If you don't want your history to be saved by Google Chrome then you have to remove this ID added by Google in Chrome.Though it is very hard to remove this but we have better option, Unchrome it.Unchrome replaces your unique ID with Null values so that your browser cannot be identified any longer. The functionality of Google Chrome is not influenced by this. You only need to apply UnChrome once.

I hope this is a better option as per todays situation but it would be more better if Google gives you a choice if you want to get a ID or not. That would be a faithfull step towards its user.
