After installation of windows xp/vista when we calculate the hard drive partition space then we found this is some what less than the actual hard drive memory space.This is not a less in amount this is usually in GBs and increases as the size of your hard drive increases.
The mystery of the missing gigabytes will continue to baffle computer users until hard drive makers get in sync with the rest of the computer world. You're not missing any gigabytes—it's just a mix-up in units of measurement. Disk capacity is measured using decimal kilobytes, megabytes, and gigabytes.
In decimal units, 1KB = 1,000 bytes, 1MB = 1,000,000 bytes, and 1GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes. But for file sizes, memory, and just about everything else, we use binary kilobytes, megabytes, and gigabytes. In binary units 1KB = 1,024 bytes, 1MB = 1,048,576 bytes, and 1GB = 1,073,741,824 bytes. Looking at it another way, the decimal values are 103, 106, and 109 bytes, whereas the binary values are 210, 220, and 230 bytes.
To convert your disk's 160 decimal GB to the units used by the rest of Windows, you have to divide by 1.073741824. The result is about 149GB—close enough to what you calculated. Sorry, there's no missing 10GB for you to recover!
As for the extra partitions, they're part of a system recovery solution installed by Dell. If your system becomes damaged and won't boot Windows, you can invoke system recovery by pressing a keystroke while the system is booting. Be warned, though, that doing so will blow your system back to its just-out-of-box condition, minus any updates, programs, photos, documents, and so on that you may have added.

When Microsoft launched windows vista it was supposed to be a big success but rather than creating landmarks it even remains unable to touch to sale records of windows xp , the previous version of windows.It was a great setback for Microsoft.They do every thing they can do to promote vista, they even announced the closure of windows xp from early 2008 but later they had to extend its date.
What was major reason of failure of Microsoft's windows vista? I would suggest it should be speed as normal users developed a negative approach towards this operating system by getting negative reviews about the slower speed of vista even on high configuration systems.
So now it seems that Microsoft's has got the right nerve and it can be felt by working on windows vista service pack 1.Here are some of the noticeable changes I found in my system after installing Windows Vista SP1 RC :
1. Start-up and shutdown of Vista is now much quicker. My laptop is now shutting down in less than half the time it earlier used. 2. Checking for Windows updates now takes 1/4th the time it earlier used to take. 3. Time taken for moving or copying files across partitions has decreased. 4. Extracting and creating zip files is faster now. 5. On an overall basis, Windows Vista is more responsive now.

After watching this test match Australia v/s India,sydney , I feel some rules have to be incorporated by ICC to give the other teams a perfect clarification
(1) Ricky Ponting – (THE TRULY GENUINE CRICKETER OF THE CRICKET ERA AND WHOSE INTEGRITY SHOULD NOT BE DOUBTED) should be considered as the FOURTH UMPIRE. As per the new rules, FOURTH UMPIRE decision is final and will over ride any decisions taken by any other umpires. ON-FIELD umpires can seek the assistance of RICKY PONTING even if he is not on the field. This rule is to be made, so that every team should understand the importance of the FOURTH UMPIRE.
(2) While AUSTRALIAN TEAM is bowling, If the ball flies anywhere close to the AUSTRALIAN FIELDER(WITHIN 5 metre distance), the batsman is to be considered OUT irrelevant of whether the catch was taken cleanly or grassed. Any decision for further clarification should be seeked from the FOURTH UMPIRE. This is made to ensure that the cricket is played with SPORTIVE SPIRIT by all the teams.
(3) While BATTING, AUSTRALIAN players will wait for the ON-FIELD UMPIRE decisions only (even if the catch goes to the FIFTH SLIP as the ball might not have touched the bat). Each AUSTRALIAN batsman has to be out FOUR TIMES (minimum) before he can return to the pavilion. In case of THE CRICKETER WITH INTEGRITY, this can be higher.
(4) UMPIRES should consider a huge bonus if an AUSTRALIAN player scores a century. Any wrong decisions can be ignored as they will be paid huge bonus and will receive the backing of the AUSTRALIAN team and board.
(5) All AUSTRALIAN players are eligible to keep commenting about all players on the field and the OPPONENT TEAM should never comment as they will be spoiling the spirit of the AUSTRALIAN team. Any comments made in any other language are to be considered as RACIALISM only.
(6) MATCH REFREE decisions will be taken purely on the AUSTRALIAN TEAM advices only. Player views from the other teams decisions will not be considered for hearing. MATCH REFREES are to be given huge bonus if this rule is implemented.
(7) NO VISITING TEAM should plan to win in AUSTRALIA. This is to ensure that the sportive spirit of CRICKET is maintained.
(8) THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE: If any bowler gets RICKY PONTING - “THE UNDISPUTED CRICKETER WITH INTEGTIRY IN THE GAME OF CRICKET” more than twice in a series, he will be banned for the REST OF THE SERIES. These are the few ways in which you can connect your PC to your TV.

3. DVI - DVI stands for Digital Visual Interface with “digital” being the key word there. The digital signal will give a higher quality picture than either S-Video or VGA. Of course, your computer will need to have a DVI connection and your TV will need to be an HDTV. This cord is definitely not cheap, it ranges anywhere from $40 to $80.

If you want to hack or break the password of any windows Xp system then you should have physical access to the system and then follow these simple steps.
In case of user password boot the pc in safe mode by pressing the F8 key and then selecting the Safe Mode option. You can now log on as an administrator and XP wont prompt for the password. Incase of an administrator account try rebooting the pc in DOS. access C:\Windows\system32\config\sam . Rename SAM as SAM.mj
Now XP wont ask for password next time You Login. Also
Go to the cmd prompt . Type net user *. It will list all the users. Again type net user "administrator" or the name of the administrator "name" *. e.g.: net user aaaaaa *(where aaaaaa is the name). It will ask for the password. Type the password and there you are done. Logging In As Administrator: Hold the Ctrl-Alt key and press Del twice. This will bring up the normal login and you can log on as Administrator.
To unhide the Administrator account so it does show up:
Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon \ SpecialAccounts \ UserList
Unhide the Administrator key by giving it a value of 1
